Studiobird designed a series of large event and informal teaching & learning areas for a new educational facility in Melbourne's Docklands. 

The design incorporates biophilic design principles with the use of materials and patterns found in natural systems. An extensive acoustic ceiling integrates an array of fractals mimicking a geological crystalline cavern.

Spaces include a 100p amphitheatre/ events area, a multipurpose auditorium with 400p retractable seating & catering kitchen, a 70p multipurpose seminar space, various informal & breakout areas for students throughout the building, student kitchens throughout the building and retail space (stage 2).
