Resonance comprises four monumental circular rings, three cast in bronze and one in brass, arranged in a radial constellation beneath the Tomb of the Unknown Australian Soldier. Drawing from the symbolic language of ceremonial wreaths and the continuity of the circle, the installation creates a contemplative journey between memory, reflection and hope.

Each ring emits subtle low-frequency soundscapes drawn from landscapes connected to remembrance, ecology and cultural continuity, including Anzac Cove, Hellfire Pass, the Kokoda Track and Gulaga Mountain. Etched with cymatic wave patterns generated from these sound frequencies, the rings transform audio into tactile and visual form. Visitors are encouraged to move through, touch and physically experience the subtle vibrations resonating through the metal surfaces, fostering an intimate and inclusive encounter across generations and abilities.

Blending architecture, sculpture, sound and public ritual, Resonance imagines a contemporary memorial experience grounded in reflection, collective presence and renewal.
